北达科他大学共开设7个学院，分别为护理学院(The College of Nursing)、医学健康科学学院(The School of Medicine and Health Sciences)、人文与科学学院(The College of Arts and Sciences)、法律学院(The School of Law)，航天学院（John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Science）、工程学院（The School of Engineering and Mines）、以及教育学院（The College of Education and Human Development）。其中航天学院、医学院与护理学院在全美具有极高声誉。
